TRANSFECTION REAGENTS FOR SUSPENSION CELLS

RJH Biosciences have created a range of effective transfection reagents for nucleic acids tailored for attachment-independent, suspension-growing cells. The RJH reagents possess an optimal balance of lipophilic components critical for cell entry and cationic domains needed for strong multivalent interactions with nucleic acids. Our reagents are capable of delivering a range of nucleic acids, from small RNAs to plasmid DNAs as large as 10 kbp to established cell lines as well as primary cells.

  • Leu-Fect A & Leu-Fect B reagents are designed to deliver siRNA and microRNA to lymphocytic cells for modulating signalling events. Delivery of a typical microRNA can be seen here.

CONSIDERATIONS FOR OPTIMIZING TRANSFECTIONS IN CULTURE

The efficiency of transfection reagents depends on the cell type to be modified, the nature of nucleic acid to be delivered, and cell culture conditions. Transfection parameters should be optimized for each cell type to ensure maximal gene expression or silencing while minimizing cellular toxicity.
